Certified Recycled Parts (CRP) is committed to helping our customers sustain the value and operation of their systems by providing legacy parts to extend the life of their investment while providing a strong path towards migration.
Certified Recycled Parts are Honeywell authorized, hard-to-find parts, that have been put through a Certification process to validate full functionality. In most cases the equipment has been previously used and decommissioned. These parts allow customers to maximize their initial system investment dollars by extending the life of their existing legacy system or as a bridge to complement a defined migration plan to new systems. This program strengthens Honeywell’s commitment to full support of systems from introduction through obsolescence and beyond.

How Does It Work?
Certified Recycled Parts are acquired from customers and factory surplus which go through a certification process to validate functionality. All parts go through a first-level power up test, a hardware verification test system (HVTS) to validate the function of hardware components on the board, and a system software test to ensure successful interaction with other Honeywell hardware and software.
Once these steps are completed, a burn-in for a minimum of 24 hours is undertaken to verify extended operability. Any material which fails even a single step in the certification process is discarded. The warranty period for CRP material is the same as that for new build spares.

CRP Reliability
The Honeywell CRP program has filled over 1.1K orders annually since it became a standard order channel for customer support of legacy equipment and is growing each year. The rate of warranty returns has been less than two percent of all material supplied over a three-year window.

Benefits

• An audited certification process is run on every part and only those which pass all levels are marked and sold as Honeywell CRP spares.
• A full one-year warranty consistent with Honeywell new build factory spares for the same product line is provided on all Honeywell CRP shipped to site.
• Parts purchased from Honeywell CRP will not invalidate any original agency approvals on the system at site when the CRP board is installed.
• All re-work and certification are done under the same agency-approved and audited process and to the exact specifications on the engineering drawings on each board.
• Installing a Honeywell Certified Recycled Parts spare part receives the same support from Honeywell as a new build spare. This is true whether reaching out for technical assistance from our GTAC organization or contacting your local Honeywell service team for help.

Recycle Old Equipment
If you do not have a need for CRP to keep a system running, you may have a need for their assistance with decommissioned hardware. Honeywell CRP can help recycle or dispose of used Honeywell equipment properly and possibly buy it back.
