Overview
What is it?Since 2000, the Series 5 Vanguard has been the industry standard for precision turbomachinery control. Now, with the introduction of the S5P Vanguard, your Vanguard system can provide decades of additional service. S5P Vanguard provides all the benefits and functionality of Prodigy using your existing Vanguard hardware, such as advanced control applications (anti-surge controls and load-sharing, gas and steam turbines, and extraction), using a software upgrade. A Windows-based TrainTools® package also comes standard with the Vanguard S5 Pro to provide a comprehensive interface for plant operating, programming, and project engineering.Cybersecurity and ConnectivityUpgrade protection for your Vanguard platform with the CCC S5P Vanguard operating system, which is designed and tested to the standard of ISA/IEC 62443-4-2. The control platform provides secure connectivity with CCC supervisory systems and 3rd party systems. S5P supports MQTT Sparkplug B communication for lightweight Publish/Subscribe communication for integration with next generation of CCC operator HMI software.How does it work?The S5P Vanguard upgrades existing Series 5 processor cards while maintaining the full Vanguard installation. Gain all the advantages of the Prodigy ProOS without any wiring or cabinet modifications.What Problems Do They Solve?Upgrades that involve changes to cabinets and wiring add significant time and risk. The Vanguard S5 Pro eliminates these risks, with upgrades possible within a single shift.
