Honeywell Zone 1/21 IO is ATEX & IECEx certified, Intrinsically Safe designed a remote I/O system for direct installation in Zone 1/21 hazardous area. Communication over Profibus-DP, ProfiNet and EtherNet/IP helps for fast & seamless installation and integration at scale while keeping low efforts and cost. Honeywell Zone 1/21 IO system is available to sell only in India.

The Honeywell Zone 1/21 IO is a modular, intrinsically Safe designed remote IO system along with ATEX and IECEx certification, allows to install directly in Zone 1/21 area. This provides redundant communication, redundant power supply, HART-capable galvanic isolated IO channels, hot-swappable modules with extended operating temperature -20 °C to +65 °C.
How Does It Work?
Field instruments from Zone 0 directly connect to Honeywell Zone 1/21 IO system which further integrate with any control system over Profibus-DP, ProfiNet or EtherNet/IP protocols, allows fast & seamless installation and configuration. Honeywell Zone 1/21 IO system delivered as ready to install, complete integrated solution which includes SS304/SS316L enclosure, Power Supply Modules, Communication Gateway Modules, IO Modules, necessary accessories etc. Honeywell Zone 1/21 IO system is tightly integrated with Honeywell DCS and PLC system.
