O-Frame Scanners
Honeywell’s O-Frame Scanners support dual- and single-sided quality sensors for a wide range of sheet manufacturing processes.
Overview
What Is It?
O-Frame scanners provide a stable and precise platform to move the upper and lower halves of dual-sided sensors across the full width of a sheet while it is being manufactured. Some O-Frame scanners can also support single-sided sensors.
How Does It Work?
The O-Frame is made of rigid aluminum or steel beams which support a drive system for moving the upper and lower heads, which enclose one to six sensors, across sheets up to 10 m [396 in] wide. Additional sensors may also be mounted externally on the heads.
Scanners are designed with environmental protection from dirt, dust, heat, and moisture, and to provide precise position reporting for the heads at scanning speeds up to 1,200 mm/sec [48 in/s]. Precision signal processing ensures highly accurate profiles with narrow measurement zones.
