The purpose of the T901 temperature and pressure sensor is to measure the liquid temperature in the cargo tank at three different levels - top, middle and bottom of the tank. These measurements are made using temperature sensing elements (Pt100 Ω - RTD) which plunge in the tank inside sealed stainless steel pipes. A differential pressure transmitter and its associated electronics measure the inert gas pressure inside the cargo tank.
How Does It Work?
The T901 Temperature and Pressure Transmitter meets the most rigorous liquid cargo monitoring requirements. The temperature sensors are gas-tight and feature a double separation mechanism. The pressure sensor is of ceramic type that withstands attack from vapors coming from petroleum and chemical products. Connected directly to the EM540 radar gauge, the transmitter can obtain both temperature and pressure measurements after installation.
What Problems Does It Solve?
Loss of inert gas can lead to dangerous, explosive situations while overheating can lead to dangerous overpressure. T901 P transmitters provide reliable measurement for safe management of liquid cargo.
