Overview
The OneWireless Process Control Access Point (PCAP) is a Honeywell exclusive offering that simultaneously supports ISA100 Wireless, WirelessHART, Wi-Fi and Ethernet devices on a single industrial wireless network. The IEEE 802.15.4 radio has been designated specifically for mission-critical wireless connectivity to industrial sensor equipment using the ISA100 Wireless and/or WirelessHART standard.
It also has Ethernet and fiber as well as small form-factor pluggable (SFP) backhaul options. The PCAP offers a single-box solution and does not require two separate wireless networks―one for 802.11n and another for wireless sensor networks. By eliminating the extra power and network connections, which can be expensive to deploy in hazardous locations, the PCAP provides cost savings and reduces deployment time.
