Honeywell’s Partnership With Microsoft Teams, Integrated With Realwear Featured At Ignite

On September 22, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, highlighted the work Honeywell has been doing with Microsoft Teams, integrated with RealWear to meet customer needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

​As Nadella stated in his keynote address at Ignite, Honeywell technology, coupled with Microsoft Teams and RealWear, “…[brought] situational awareness to our firstline workers, allowing them troubleshoot issues with a handsfree voice-controlled experience while live streaming to their remote colleagues.

The COVID-19 crisis presented unique challenges to Honeywell and to our customers’ businesses. At Honeywell Process Solutions, delivery of our Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) automation and control systems typically culminates in acceptance testing. These sessions involve a large group of experts from Honeywell and our customer traveling to a location to review the project and ensure that it operates as specified. COVID-19 meant that team needed to quickly find a solution so the work could continue, and our customers could continue operations.

The solution was: virtual testing using our Competency Management solutions.
