Securely Integrate High-Resolution Data for Rapid Response to Critical Events Overview When a critical event such as compressor surge occurs, it is essential to respond quickly to minimize potential downtime. Traditional system integration approaches kept the high-resolution data at the edge – away from your experts. With CCC Connect for PI System, you can get the right data delivered to the right person at the right time.  What Is It? CCC Connect for PI System is an optional software component that runs on a TrainTools HMI server which pushes its local time-series data to AVEVA PI System using PI AF SDK. This approach provides better security and data quality compared to traditional integration methods such as those that utilize Modbus or OPC DA over DCOM. How Does It Work? The software establishes connection to AVEVA PI System using a single outbound TCP connection. Once the connection is established, it automatically generates PI Tags and begins pushing archive tags at a user-configured resolution. When the software detects any of the user-defined critical event triggers (e.g. compressor surge) is asserted, it will push native-resolution data before and after the event to the historian. This enables seamless centralization of high-resolution data without compromising data quality, bandwidth, and storage requirements. What Problems Does It Solve?
