What Is It?
Experion PKS Orion, the latest release of Experion PKS, brings the newest in Universal Channel Technology and comprehensive turnkey virtualization solutions. Migration to Experion allows users to merge traditionally disparate functions and systems across the manufacturing enterprise and capture the knowledge of plant personnel and their workflows to deliver sustainable efficiencies.
A common and consistent human machine interface (HMI) over the entire process control system helps users improve operator effectiveness. The Abnormal Situation Management (ASM®) Consortium guidelines embedded in Experion PKS Orion further improve collaboration and decision-making.
How Does It Work?
Migrating to Experion can be completed in phases or in one go, depending on user requirements and budget. As part of incremental migration, users can replace their legacy controllers with Experion controllers that offer embedded batch functionality, advanced control, and field network communications such as HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus. Honeywell’s ControlMatch tool enables swift and smooth migration of ABB MOD 300 controller database to Experion database.
