Experion® ARO allows you to maintain and support full production with minimal on-site staff by providing remote operations capabilities. Utilize available resources from any location to maintain operations and business continuity through a range of challenging scenarios.
What Is It?
Experion ARO is an extension to your local control system enabling you to securely maintain production and support operations from any location.
How Does It Work?
An Experion ARO solution consists of thin client machines on the business network, an Experion ARO gateway on the L3.5/DMZ network and an Experion ARO server on the L3 network. Client machines on the business (L4) network are part of the L4 domain, the ARO gateway is part of the DMZ domain and the ARO server is part of the PCN domain.
No Experion software is required on the business network machines. Microsoft Remote Desktop clients securely connect the business network machines, via encrypted TLS protocol, to Experion Stations or engineering tools running on the ARO Server.
Access to Experion ARO is only enabled for specific business network machines and authenticated users. Access permissions can be configured on a per user basis, with read/write permissions for remote operators or read-only permissions for remote monitoring and operational support.
What Problems Does It Solve?
An Experion ARO solution can be deployed quickly, enabling users to:
- Continue production when reduced control room operators by providing Experion Station and Orion Console functionality from alternate locations outside the control room.
- Provide operational support from anywhere by securely connecting to Experion ARO Stations from your business network or company VPN.
- Configure read-only or read-write access to Experion assets based on the user’s scope of responsibility.
